Kiera & Daniel’s Summer Wedding at Crockwell Farm

Returning to the enchanting Crockwell Farm to capture another wedding was an absolute delight. If you know me, you’ll understand my fondness for barn-style wedding venues, and Crockwell Farm stands tall among the finest that Northamptonshire has to offer. It feels like just moments ago that I was there, capturing the magic of Sarah and Tony’s special day.

This time, it was Kiera and Daniel’s turn to tie the knot, and what a lively and joyous day it turned out to be! I adore seeing children at weddings—they bring such an extra layer of fun and mischief. This celebration was no exception, with children zipping around on scooters and getting up to all sorts of playful antics.

I arrived at the venue bright and early, eager to greet everyone and prepare myself for the day ahead. Even though I’ve photographed numerous weddings at Crockwell Farm, I always aim to approach each one with fresh, creative eyes. This venue is bursting with charm, and it would be a disservice not to explore new angles and ideas every single time.

Upon arrival, I was warmly welcomed by Kiera, Daniel, and their closest friends and family. The children were especially thrilled when I launched my drone to capture aerial shots of the venue. They eagerly asked if they could have a go, and I was more than happy to oblige. The weather was perfect, with sunshine gracing us all day, making for a relaxed, shirt-sleeves kind of atmosphere.

After mingling with the guests and taking some initial shots, it was time to head to the bridal prep room. The room buzzed with excitement as Kiera, a professional hairdresser, worked her magic on the bridesmaids and flower girls, making them feel absolutely stunning.

This was a more intimate wedding, with Kiera and Daniel opting for a simple celebration with their nearest and dearest. The beautiful weather led them to choose an outdoor ceremony at the Orchard Pavilion, a wonderfully romantic spot with a winding aisle through the garden. While the vaulted barn is always a gorgeous option, an outdoor wedding under such a clear sky was simply irresistible.

I was there to document the entire day, from the morning preparations well into the night. The morning flew by, and soon we all made our way to the ceremony space. Daniel looked dashing in his suit, and Kiera was breathtaking in her wedding dress. Her father, beaming with pride, walked her down the aisle. The flower girls provided a delightful twist by tossing flowers at the guests instead of on the ground—cheeky and charming!

The ceremony seemed to pass in a heartbeat, and before long, Kiera and Daniel were officially Mr. and Mrs. Congratulations to the happy couple!

After the ceremony and a joyful confetti toss, we headed back to the gardens of Crockwell Farm for the drinks reception. The atmosphere was vibrant, with guests laughing and enjoying themselves everywhere I looked. We took some group shots and couples portraits before moving inside to the starlit marquee for the wedding breakfast. True to their desire for simplicity, Kiera and Daniel chose to forgo speeches, focusing instead on enjoying the moment with their loved ones.

The day continued to unfold in a blur of happiness, and as the evening guests began to arrive, the celebration showed no signs of slowing down. Guests savoured the evening sun, glasses of fizz in hand, while the children, seemingly tireless, continued their playful antics.

I wish Kiera and Daniel a lifetime of happiness together. A heartfelt thank you to everyone for making me feel so welcome, including the wonderful staff. I eagerly look forward to my next visit to Crockwell Farm!
