A Picture-Perfect Summer Wedding: Northamptonshire Wedding Photography at Park Farm

Capturing the Magic of Rebecca and Charles’ Big Day with Natural Wedding Photography

During the summer of 2024, I had the absolute pleasure of photographing Rebecca and Charles’ wedding at the oh-so-charming Park Farm in Northamptonshire. Being a Northamptonshire local wedding photographer, it’s always a treat to discover a new gem of a wedding venue, and Park Farm did not disappoint. It’s got everything you’d want in a barn wedding venue, and I’d jump at the chance to go back.

Why Park Farm is a Dream Wedding Venue

Park Farm is a true countryside retreat, tucked away in the rolling hills of Northamptonshire. With its picturesque oak trees, charming barn spaces, and gorgeous outdoor ceremony options, it’s perfect for couples looking for a rustic yet elegant setting. The Granary and Cart Shed offer versatile spaces for every part of the day, from bridal prep to the evening reception. If you’re planning a barn wedding with natural vibes, this venue truly has it all.

The Build-Up to the Big Day

Getting to Know the Couple

Before their big day, I hopped on a Zoom call with Rebecca and Charles to chat through their timeline and get a feel for the vibe they were going for. They were so chilled out and clearly buzzing for the day, and by the end of our chat, so was I! It’s moments like these that remind me why I love my job.

Arriving at Park Farm

Fast forward to the wedding day, and I rocked up at Park Farm bright and early to soak it all in. Nestled in the Northamptonshire countryside, this venue is like something out of a postcard. The sun was beaming down, and with an outdoor wedding ceremony planned under the oak trees, it was shaping up to be a corker of a day.

A Day Full of Heartwarming Moments

Bridal Prep in the Granary

I was there to capture everything from bridal prep to the first dance (and the antics beyond!). Bridal prep was in the Granary, and what a lively morning it was! Rebecca and her bridal crew were in the best of spirits, cranking up the tunes and sipping on bubbly. There’s something so special about capturing these moments—the laughter, the nerves, the excitement—and this lot delivered it all.

Groomsmen Ready to Go

Meanwhile, Charles and his groomsmen turned up, bringing their own brand of energy to the day. They were all suited up and ready to go, and it was clear everyone was there to make some unforgettable memories.

The Emotional First Look

Before we knew it, it was time for Rebecca to step into her dress, and wow, she looked absolutely stunning. Her smile said it all, and there wasn’t a dry eye during her heartfelt first look with her dad. He was beaming with pride, and I couldn’t help but get caught up in the moment too.

The Ceremony: Love Under the Oaks with Outdoor Wedding Ceremony Photography

Over at the ceremony space, the guests had settled into their seats, ready for the main event. Charles looked sharp and couldn’t take his eyes off Rebecca as she walked down the aisle. An outdoor wedding ceremony on a sunny day? It doesn’t get much better. There were smiles, there were tears, and there was so much love in the air as Rebecca and Charles said their “I dos.” Woodland wedding photography like this is always a joy to capture.

Fun, Laughter, and Golden Memories

Drinks Reception and Lawn Games

Once the confetti was thrown and the cheers rang out, we headed to the garden for the drinks reception. Lawn games were in full swing, kids and adults alike were having a blast, and the energy was electric. I captured plenty of fun, candid shots here—honestly, fun wedding reception photography always brings the best chaos! If you’re planning a wedding with kids (or just playful adults), lawn games are an absolute must.

Couple’s Portraits

Rebecca and Charles opted for just a handful of couple’s portraits, wanting to spend as much time as possible with their loved ones. I’m all for that! We made the most of the stunning Park Farm backdrop in just a few minutes and then let them get back to the fun.

The Evening Festivities

Wedding Breakfast and Speeches

The Cart Shed was where the rest of the magic happened—wedding breakfast, hilarious speeches, and the evening party. The speeches were top-tier, full of laughs and heartfelt moments. And I’ve got to mention the hilarious moment when one of the kids swiped Charles’ pudding—classic wedding day mischief!

Golden Hour Portraits

As the sun began to set, we sneaked away for some golden hour wedding photography, and oh my, the light was dreamy. Rebecca and Charles were so glad they took a few minutes for these shots, and the photos turned out absolutely stunning. Golden hour always adds that extra sprinkle of magic to a wedding gallery.

Dance Floor Fun

The day flew by in a whirlwind of joy and laughter. Before long, it was time for the cake cutting and their first dance. The dance floor quickly filled up, and it was non-stop action from there. Guests brought their best moves, and the energy was unreal. I love capturing these moments when everyone lets loose and the party truly kicks off.

A Heartfelt Thank You

Rebecca and Charles, you were an absolute delight to photograph. Thank you for trusting me to capture your beautiful day. And to the team at Park Farm, hats off to you for making sure everything ran seamlessly.
